Our partners

We work in partnership with many other organisations to achieve our goals.

The Brotherhood of St Laurence is a partner with MEFL in the Moreland Solar City project.

CERES (Centre for Education & Research in Environmental Strategies) is an environment and education centre, urban farm and all-round sustainability hub. CERES is located by the Merri Creek in East Brunswick.

Together we have a Memorandum of Understanding and directly assist one another with projects, funding and promotion of like-minded events.

Moreland Energy Foundation was originally established by the Moreland City Council in 2000. Since then, we have worked together to reach the best outcomes for the Moreland community. One part of this is a shared goal for a Zero Carbon Moreland by 2030  - a municipality which produces zero net carbon emissions.

MEFL is collaborating with Merri Community Health Services (MCHS) on the Healthy Climate Project.

The Monash Sustainability Institute (MSI) is a multi-disciplinary, cross-faculty institute that aims to delivers solutions to key climate change and sustainability challenges through research, education and action.

MEFL and MSI have a Memorandum of Understanding to work together on relevant sustainability projects.

Moreland Energy Foundation is a member of the Northern Alliance for Greenhouse Action (NAGA).

Formed in 2002, NAGA is an alliance of a number of Melbourne's northern councils and communities. The NAGA network shares information, coordinates emission reduction activities and cooperates on the research and development of innovative emissions projects.

Sustainability Victoria is a partner in the Moreland Solar City project.

Yarra Trams is a partner in the Zero Carbon Moreland project.

As a key public transport provider in the City of Moreland there is a natural link between Yarra Trams and the Zero Carbon Moreland campaign.

In addition to the formal partners listed above, we work informally with other organisations on joint submissions, media releases and projects.

The Alternative Technology Association

MEFL has partnered with the ATA on a number of projects, including this 2010 joint Renewable Energy Target submission.
